Power App Developer – Immediate Hire

TransformU, an IT Solutions business, are seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, confident, and articulate Power App Developer to join a rapidly growing team of employees & consultants who support one of the world’s largest energy companies. The ideal candidate will need to be able to demonstrate functional knowledge and technical expertise in Power Apps Platform to include Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents & Power BI. Working with senior IT Leadership within the organisation and for the client, this role supports the client’s internal customers in managing their end-to-end data visualisation pipeline.
The remit of this role will be to:
- Join an existing data visualisation team to support and develop standard processes for capturing new demand into the client’s business.
- Develop Power Apps, dashboards, KPI Reports and Operational Management Information reports.
- Manage stakeholder demand and backlog of reporting requirements and needs
The requirements of this role mean that the successful candidate must be a self-starter, highly motivated and able to manage their own time and projects successfully. It would therefore suit an individual who is more than capable of operating in unstructured situations with perhaps limited or no handholding or supervision from day to day. The preferred candidate will be able to operate well in challenging environments and situations and will have the flexibility and drive required to deliver for the end client, a global leader in the Oil & Energy Sector. This role will also most likely suit a candidate who is solutions focused and can meet challenges with creativity and flexibility. You will be able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing with a wide range of individuals from team members to senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Previous experience of meeting the visualisation, reporting and analytics needs of key business functions, through the development of presentation and data models will be essential. Candidates will be asked to provide examples during screening and interview.
- Work experience of developing Microsoft Power BI data visualisation reports within a large corporate environment, preferably in the Energy sector (Oil, Gas or Utilities) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience of working with senior level business and IT stakeholders and within Finance functions will be essential. This role will have a high level of exposure to senior business and IT leadership.
- Designing and developing applications and dashboards utilising the Microsoft framework (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint Online).
- Analysing business requirements through collaboration with Business and IT stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining core reporting capabilities and integrations with key platforms to both the organisation and the end client.
- Assisting in the onboarding of developed applications across the business.
- Conduct daily systems analytics to validate usage and integrity of reports. You will be required to undertake these yourself so must have experience of doing so.
Personal Specifications
To be successful in this role we will be looking for candidates who have:
- Demonstrable experience of developing Office 365 applications including Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven), Power Automate, PowerBI, Dynamics 365, Dataverse and SharePoint Online. This will be essential to the role.
- Experience of using SQL Server, Azure Analysis Services
- Experience of working with Visual Studio
- Experience of working with JavaScript, jQuery, Web Services, HTML5
- Knowledge of working with design frameworks
- Knowledge in building web parts, apps, page layouts using the O365 API
- Knowledge of Data Migration using platforms such as Azure Data Factory and Logic Apps is essential.
- Knowledge of using MS DevOps and/or GitHub for both software release management and to manage an Agile software development lifecycle
- Understanding of DAX
- Ability to develop API connections with both internal systems and third-party platforms

Contractor Circa £600 per day
Bonuses up to 10% of earnings
